You’ve completed a manuscript, well done! It’s a huge achievement. You may have even shown your partner or your family and friends. They’re your champions so they’ll love it regardless of any typos. What you need now is someone to take a look at your manuscript with fresh eyes.
That’s where proofreading and copy editing come in. You need someone to pick up on the typos or the sentences that seem slightly off.
There are plenty of proofreaders and copy editors out there. You need to trust your gut and go with the person you feel is right for you.

- Up to 25,000 words = 2 weeks
- <50,000 words = 3 weeks

Before starting, I’ll need…
- Your manuscript as a Word Document with double-spacing, 12-point standard font (e.g., Times New Roman), numbered pages, and a header with your name and manuscript title.
- To mutually agree with you on the number of words I’ll be editing.
